At Gilbert’s Cheese Experience, we connect consumers with the things they eat and drink and the community of people who make them. Led by Brian Gilbert, head cheesemonger at Beecher's Handmade Cheese, and culinary storyteller Holly Regan, you'll learn how your food and drinks are made, meet the people who make them and go on a fun, interactive tasting journey.
We're teaming up with Cedar & Spokes Coffee & Bar to bring you an evening of cheese, wine and celebration of our food and beverage community. You'll taste fine cheeses and wines from around the globe, all from the heart of Seattle's food culture: Pike Place Market.
This event features a pairing that breaks the mold: Comté cheese and Epicurean Wines. Comté is considered one of the finest cheeses in the world, and is among the most popular in France. Complex, nutty and creamy, its flavors and aromas vary widely based on aging. Adding depth and dimension are selections from Epicurean Wines, where you’ll experience the unique terroir of a somewhat unsung region: Australia.
Happy hour at Cedar & Spokes goes from 4-6pm; arrive early to take advantage of their food and drink discounts, then stay for Gilbert's Cheese Experience!
Each ticket includes:
Three (3) samples of different ages of Comté cheese.
Three (3) samples of Epicurean wines: red, white and sparkling.
